Styles … being flexible to add maximum value
When we work with clients we will agree the most appropriate primary style to achieve the client’s objectives as part of the Innovation stage in our process. We will by our nature change our style to ensure that we keep people engaged and add the maximum value.
Our consultants have particular strengths in different areas but will utilise all styles as appropriate. By this we also aim to model adaptability depending on context as one of the attributes of successful leaders.
The different styles we deploy are:
- Consultancy – with a huge range of consultancy approaches and models to work with we can adapt to meet the needs of our clients.
- Facilitation – we keep people on track and therefore optimise effort, ensuring there is input from everyone and everyone has a part to play. We use a variety of questioning techniques to gain maximum value even from those who are generally considered to be “resisting”
- Event animation – rewarding and memorable for participants our events are renowned for providing enough content and interest to enable people to leave really understanding the difference feeling animated brings. We enjoy creating events, conferences, away days, seminars, outings, team days, etc. that add real value
- Training – treating participants as adult learners, providing a variety of learning models, engaging in relationship forming, working with resistance and a focus on how to integrate the “ah-ha” moments back into the working environment are just some of the ways we differentiate how we lead learning.
- Mentoring – sharing our expertise and knowledge in ways that demonstrate the depth and breadth of our experience
- Coaching – inspiring, challenging and supporting individuals and teams to recognise and change how they are operating and to “become the best they can be”. Not always a “nice” process but feedback shows our coaching to be highly effective.
- Speaker – our principal, Donnie MacNicol is a highly accomplished and confident public speaker. He has presented on a wide range of project, team and communication related subjects. He has a relaxed, humorous and light style which informs and entertains audiences in equal measure.
